Mascots at Man City

Stalybridge Celtic Juniors Girls under 8s and under 10s took on mascot duty for Man City v Watford in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round.

It was a brilliant day for the girls under 8s and under 10s on Saturday as both teams got to meet the players and lead both squads out onto the pitch for Man City v Watford in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round at Academy Stadium.

The girls were impeccably well behaved as they led both teams out for the match in front of a big crowd. The parents had a good time too watching an exciting game with blue sky and bright winter sunshine. The complimentary hot drinks certainly helped!

Well done to all the girls for doing so well, meeting their football idols and hopefully taking lots of inspiration back to their games next weekend.

Massive thanks to Sarah Turner and Matthew Gallagher, both volunteers at the club, and Liz Douglas and Nick Elliott at Man City.
