Free school meals will be available for any families who need them during half term, Monday to Friday, this week. Meals can be collected anonymously with no questions asked.

Batches will also be delivered to a number of local community leaders to distribute to people who cannot get to the Soccer School.

Launched in response to Marcus Rashford’s #endchildfoodpoverty campaign to ensure no child goes hungry during the autumn half term, Stalybridge Celtic Juniors and local company Rawco Environmental have teamed up to provide as many lunches as possible for children in Stalybridge and Tameside who need them.
After announcing the project on Friday, hundreds of people have made donations and offered to volunteer their time to help make and distribute the packed lunches. Each lunch will include a sandwich (choice of filling), snack, sweet treat, a piece of fruit, and a drink.
We may need further donations later in the week. Please only donate packed food, we are unable to accept sandwiches made at home.
