Two weeks ago Stalybridge Celtic Juniors launched their Road to Wembley Challenge as a way to engage with their young players during lockdown and encourage everyone to get their daily exercise.
Today, 31 January, the 200 miles from Stalybridge to Wembley has been completed. The Juniors players walked, ran, and cycled in rain, snow, and cold to cover the distance. Each exercise was tracked and the distance sent in to add to the total.
Road to Wembley Extended!
Next stop Amsterdam. With a few more weeks of lockdown ahead and the response of the Road to Wembley Challenge being so positive, we’ve extended the challenge to continue on from Wembley to the Johan Cruyff Arena, Amsterdam, home of Dutch champions Ajax. This extends the distance by an additional 265 miles.
