50% Of Football Training To Be In The Classroom From Next Season

From the start of the 2022/23 season training for junior teams must be split 50/50 between the football pitch and the classroom #aprilfools

In shock new rules announced today (1st April), junior football teams from the start of the 2022/23 season must spend at least half of their training time in the classroom. It’s a move designed to get the kids thinking more, using their brains as much as their feet. For the average team who train once a week it will mean either doing 30 minutes in the classroom followed by 30 minutes outside, or one hour in the classroom one week followed by one hour outside the next.

Under 8s coach Sam said “I’m all for getting the kids thinking more, but I haven’t got a clue how a smartboard works. I’ll also have to think about who site where in class, I can’t have the naughty ones messing around at the back.”

The Soccer School is taking midweek and weekend bookings now for all Celtic Juniors teams, speak Liam to see what’s available.
